Estate Cleanouts.

A thorough, respectful clear-out of a family home after a loss, a move into care, or the close of an estate — handled with the discretion and patience the situation deserves.

Who this is for

Families, executors, and the attorneys who advise them.

Estate cleanouts are rarely someone’s good month.

There’s usually a probate timeline or a closing date pulling one direction.

And a family — often out of town, often grieving — making decisions about a lifetime of belongings.

We handle the operational side. The family only makes the decisions that actually require them.

We coordinate with any of three people

  • The executor
  • A family member acting for siblings
  • The attorney coordinating probate

What the family gets

  • Itemized records for the probate file
  • Selective-keep handling for heirlooms
  • A pace that matches the family’s
What we don’t do

We don’t appraise, auction, or run estate sales. We don’t advise on probate scope or touch disputed-contents work without written authorization. We clear — after the specialists have done theirs.

Questions

Estate cleanout questions.

Can we sort items ourselves before you start?

Yes. Many families do a first pass to separate heirlooms and papers. We can also sort alongside the family or sort on their behalf with clear instructions. There is no wrong answer here — we adjust.

How do you handle documents and photographs?

We hold anything that looks like a document, photo, or personal record for family review before disposal. Nothing is discarded without explicit sign-off.

Do you coordinate with estate attorneys?

Regularly. Attorneys often bring us in to handle the physical property work while they manage the legal side. We can invoice the estate directly and provide itemized records on request.

Can you work before probate closes?

Often, yes — with written authorization from the executor or attorney. We work inside whatever legal scope the estate is operating in.

Can we arrange an estate sale first?

Yes. We regularly clear properties after an estate sale has taken its items. Coordinate the sale date; we’ll schedule the cleanout for the day or week after.

How does pricing work for larger estates?

Same as every job: a fixed price after the walkthrough, not an estimate. Larger estates are priced on scope, scope complexity, and timeline — never on the number of truckloads.
